Musikfest, The Sands, and Crocodile Rock all announced major acts coming to the Lehigh Valley in the upcoming months.

The Used will be headlining Crocodile Rock in Allentown on May 22nd.  Their self-titled debut album and its follow-up In Love and Death both went gold.  Their latest work, Vulnerable, was released on the 26th.  No ticket information has been announced yet, but be sure to get them when they go on sale as this will sell out.

Rocky Loves Emily will be hitting Croc with Phone Calls From Home and Taylor Thrash on April 20th.

The Sands Event Center announced that Grammy winner Colbie Caillat will be teaming up with Gavin DeGraw for a co-headlining show at the venue.  They’ll be at the center on June 5th.  Tickets range from $35 to $55.

Pat Benatar will perform on June 8th.  Known hits like Hit Me with Your Best Shot and Love is a Battlefield, the classic rocker will perform with her husband, guitarist Neil Giraldo.  Tickets range from $49.50 to $59.50.

A slew of 90’s rockers will hit the stage at the event center as part of the Summerland Tour.  Everclear, the Gin Blossoms, LIT, Marcy’s Playground, and Sugar Ray will all share the stage on July 24th.  Tickets are standing room only and cost $39.50.

Three-time Grammy winner Bruce Hornsby will be at the Musikfest Café on June 13th.  Hornsby has collaborated with various artists such as Don Henley and Huey Lewis, and also had a stint as a guest keyboardist with the Grateful Dead.  What is probably his most popular hit isn’t even because of him: Tupac samples his song “The Way It Is” in his hit “Changes”.  Tickets are $47 and $57 and go on sale March 30th.

Artsquest announced that Joe Cocker, along with Huey Lewis and the News, will headline the Sands Steel Stage at Musikfest.  Partnering with local radio station 99.9 The Hawk, the two popular classic rock bands will be playing on August 6th.  Tickets are $35 and $47 and go on sale April 3rd.

I surprised you like The Used that much… I haven’t listened to them since I was in college… Remember when Burt was dating Kelly Osborne? That was a ridiculous media mess. Still, it seems like forever ago.

Not too much of a fan anymore…I still listen to their older stuff every once in a while. Still, they draw good crowds most places they go and Croc is small, so tickets will probably go fast.
