The Trapp Door tapping Tired Hands brews today

Hot damn, the Trapp Door is killing it.  First they had their crazy Christmas in July throwdown, then they had days upon days worth of IPA events for no reason other than “fuck it we’re pouring a lot of amazing beer” and now, now they have Tired Hands.

For those who aren’t initiated, Tired Hands is a brewery based in Ardmore, about an hour and fifteen south of Bethlehem.  They’ve been making some of the best beers, specifically their IPAs and saisons, in Pennsylvania and even the entire country.  They’ve won a filthy amount of awards, from top brewer in PA, to best new brewer, to Brewpub of the Year.  They opened up a second location earlier this year, just blocks from the original, called the Fermentaria.  With the additional space, they now have the capacity to distribute some of their brews, which they’ve been doing across the Philadelphia region.  Today marks the first time any of their sweet, sweet nectar has made its way to the Lehigh Valley.

The Trapp Door is pouring two of their steady ‘house’ offerings, their flagships if you will.  SaisonHands is a 4.8% ABV four-grain saison brewed with rye, oats, wheat, and Cascade hops.  They’re also pouring Hop Hands, an American pale ale that comes in at 5.5% and was brewed with oats and hopped with Simcoe, Centennial, and Amarillo.

If you’re a beer lover and aren’t going to Musikfest, there’s nowhere else to be tonight.
