Bonn Place Brewing Company now pouring in Bethlehem

The Bonn Place Brewing Company opened recently on Bethlehem’s SouthSide, over a year after announcing their original plans to open.  Despite the delays, they crafted a beautiful bar that’s cozy and fits into the neighborhood perfectly.  About a quarter of the space is taken up by the brewhouse and fermenters and the rest of the brewpub is a mixture of bar seating and tables.

Currently Bonn has on Pig Tale Pale Ale, Opus American Amber Ale, a Scottish Breakfast Wee Heavy, Mooey Pub Ale, and Mooey the Radler (Mooey with San Pelegrino).  They’re also doing casks, one of which was Mooey-Colada, a pineapple and coconut version of Mooey, and Scottish Breakfast aged on Guajillo peppers, which is on tap now.  They’ve also got a sour resting on oak right now that we had a little taste of and seems promising, with tons of fruity guava and papaya notes.

There’s no food at the moment except for potato chips, but plans are in place to serve small plates like paninis from the kitchen.  Beers are available in 4oz, 8oz, or pint pours.  In addition to brew they also have Colony Meadery on tap as well as espresso, cappuccino, and San Pelegrino.

Congrats to Sam and Gina on opening a great addition to the Lehigh Valley beer scene and we’re excited to see what they do down the road.IMG_6998 IMG_6995 IMG_6991 IMG_6988 IMG_6984 IMG_6976
