Left Hand Dinner at The Mint

The Mint Gastropub is hosting their second beer dinner with Left Hand Brewing out of Colorado on Thursday, March 8th.  There’s a few interesting things going on with this dinner.  First, each dish incorporates the paired beer in the dish in some way.  The other is that Left Hand’s Ambidextrous is making an appearance here.  According to the Beer Street Journal, this is a new, draft-only blend of three of Left Hand’s beers: Widdershins Barleywine aged in whiskey barrels, Milk Stout, and their Wake Up The Dead with coffee added.  The menu is below:

Fried Salad
Bacon bits, hard boiled egg, stuffed tomato, biere de garde vinaigrette
Paired with: Left Hand Biere De Garde

Steamed Monkfish
Oyster mushrooms, herb butter
Paired with: Left Hand Good Juju

Banger N’ Hash
Premise-made boudin with milk stout, O’Brien micro hash
Paired with: Left Hand Milk Stout

Smoked Beef Ribs
Potato salad, Fade to Black BBQ Sauce
Paired with: Left Hand Fade To Black Volume 3

Pork Belly Foster
Dried bananas, pork belly, Widdershins glaze
Paired with: Left Hand Oak Aged Widdershins

Birramissu
Paired with: Left Hand Ambidextrous
