Weyerbcaher and Brew Works Hosting “Love Thy Neighbor” Dinner

It’s always good to see brewers working together, especially local brewers in the Lehigh Valley.  From Brew Works and Weyerbacher helping out the new Two Rivers Brewery in Easton to things like this:  a joint beer dinner between Easton brewery Weyerbacher and Allentown’s Fegley’s Brew Works

During the “Love Thy Neighbor” dinner Chris Lampe from Weyerbacher and brewer Lewis Thomas from The Brew Works will be speaking to attendees about their breweries and beer.  The meal is four courses and features two beers (one Weyerbacher, one Brew Works) paired with each course.  It’s $63 per person or  $119.70 for two people (tax & gratuity included.  The menu: 

Appetizer:
Beer-washed aged cheddar, raspberry compote, prosciutto
Paired with: Weyerbacher Blanche and Brew Works Space Monkey

Salad:
Frisee with house-made prosciutto, garlic croutons, poached duck egg
Paired with:  Weyerbacher Slam Dunkel and Brew Works Chain Link Pilsener

Entrée
Country Time roasted pork loin, sauteed morels, fingerling potato hash, Black Friday Bourbon Barrel Aged Scotch Ale reduction
Paired with: Weyerbacher Heresey and Brew Wrosk Black Friday Bouron Barrel Scotch Ale

Dessert
Kirsch custard with crème anglaise
Paired with:  Weyerbacher Fifteen and Brew Works Smoked Doppelbock
