Pacino’s Project Dead

by theelvee_w2oe3m

This should come as no big shocker to anyone who has been following Pacino’s Cigar Bar (poised to open on Main Street in Bethlehem), but the project looks to be officially dead.  The cigar bar, which was supposed to open in the fall of 2010, now has a “For Rent” sign up on the facade.  The restaurant suffered numerous setbacks including having its liquor license application denied.  Previous numerous requests for information about the hold-ups went unanswered from two managers.  What was supposed to be the area’s first cigar bar further became irrelevant after Leaf in Easton and The Wooden Match in Bethlehem both opened up, allowing for the valley’s first cigar-only smoking venues.  After an odd post on their Facebook claiming the project was under new management earlier this year (that was later deleted) and their Facebook page in its entirety going missing, it’s no surprise that the door is shut on this one.  I’m sure it won’t be long until someone snatches up this primo piece of real estate that was formerly the Morning Call’s Bethlehem bureau office.  We just hope it’s a restaurant and not offices.
