Artsquest has announced a couple of new acts for the Musikfest Café and the Levitt Pavilion in Bethlehem including Los Lonely Boys, Jars of Clay, and more.
July 27th will feature a salsa night with Bethlehem native Hector Rosado. The band, which will feature three vocalists, percussion, bass, piano, and a horn section, will play a slew of different Latin music styles. Tickets are $10.
Taj Mahal, a genre-crossing blues artist who has been performing for more than 40 years, will hit the stage on August 23rd. In 1997 he won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues album and went on to win another in 2000. Tickets are $39 and $49.
On September 20th two world-renowned blues musicians will be taking the stage at the Levitt Pavilion in an event to raise funds for the pavilion’s free concert series in 2013. Kenny Wayne Shepherd has gone on to sell millions of albums since his 1995 debut. Second headliner, Robert Cray, has earned himself five Grammy awards across a 35 year career. Tickets for the event are $50 to $75 and VIP packages, with a pre-concert reception and other perks, are also available. For more info on this show head over to the Levitt Pavilion’s website.
Jars of Clay, who recently performed in Bethlehem, will be back in the area on October 10th with their Christian rock act. Their newest album, Shelter, was released in 2010. Their first, self-titled album has certified 2x platinum. Tickets are $28 and $45.
Los Lonely Boys, the hugely popular adult contemporary band, will play the Musikfest Café on October 14th. Their breakout hit “Heaven” garnered the group a Grammy Award after which the band released four more albums. Tickets are $35 and $45.
