Artsquest announced today that reggae rockers The Dirty Heads will be returning to Bethlehem as part of the Yuengling Summer Concert Series at the Levitt Pavilion on Tuesday, June 27th.
The Dirty Heads, who opened for the Sublime with Rome show at Muskiest in 2010, are best known for their hit single, “Lay Me Down,” featuring Rome Ramirez from Sublime. They rap/reggae/rock combination has landed them gigs with and comparisons to similar acts like 311, Pepper, and Slightly Stoopid. Their released their most recent self-titled album last summer which landed them the #2 slots on the Billboard Rock and Alternative charts.
Joining the Dirty Heads will be SOJA, a Grammy-nominated reggae group from Virginia who have been producing music together for the last 20 years. They began gathering steam after their 2012 release Strength to Survive hit the top of the Billboard Reggae charts and landed at #2 on the Independent chart. Their momentum gained even more traction in 2014 when their album Amid the Noise and Haste received a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. They have since released a live album last year.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the public on March 3rd at 10am and are $32.50 in advance and $35 the day of the show.
