The National Parks – performing from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Volksplatz
This vocally-driven Americana and alt-folk band was on our radar last year but we unfortunately missed their sets. If you’re into The Lumineers or The Strumbellas they’re worth a listen.
Cold Fronts – performing from 6pm to 8pm on Main Street
We caught these guys on Main Street during the second day of the fest last year and they were fantastic. They sounded a little harder than their pop-rock sound on their recordings, and are part of a fantastic line-up of Main Street bands this year.
Supermac – performing from 7pm to 7:30pm at Lagerplatz
We haven’t heard of these guys before, but this is Bethlehem garage rock at its finest. This performance is taking place at the new Lagerplatz, so this will likely be a stripped down version of their music.
The Commonheart – performing from 7pm to 8:30pm at Volksplatz
Bluesy, soulful, and powerful, The Commonheart is a Pittsburgh soul group boasting a full band and a sound to go with it.
The Accidentals – performing from 8:30pm to 10:30pm at Main Street
We caught this Michigan-based trio last year on the most ungodly hot day, and we’re glad to see they’re coming back. The string-fronted band sounded great and they were energetic on stage, even throwing in some Andrew Bird and Pixies covers.South Side
Kate Vargas & The Reckless Daughters – performing from 8pm to 8:40pm at Lyrikplatz in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas
Foot-stomping Americana folk and sultry singing that doesn’t sound like it came out of NYC.
Levee Drivers – performing from 11pm to 12am at the TD Community Stage
This hard rock group reimagines blues and country into a gritty sound that is sure to cap off your Friday night with a bang.
