Dovetail – performing from 4pm to 5pm at the TD Community Stage
This Dallas roots-rock band sounds like they’d fit in perfectly in the Austin rock scene. With keyboard-driven songs and guitar heavy tracks, the band’s songs change up enough to keep things interesting.
Grace Weber – performing from 5pm to 5:40pm at Lyrikplatz
Weber’s catchy single “Perfect Stranger” showcases her deep, soulful voice backed by a synthy pop beat. On other tracks, she takes a more traditional approach, singing emotional ballads. Whatever her focus will be at Musikfest, her voice is one you won’t want to miss.
The Avett Brothers – performing from 7pm to 10:30pm at the Sands Steel Stage
If there’s one paid act at Musikfest that’s worth seeing, it’s these guys. Their mishmash of several forms of Americana have launched them to repeated top ten spots on the Billboard charts.
Chronic Wolf – performing from 8:30pm to 10pm at Main Street
These Perkasie hard-rockers have a Black Sabbath meets Muddy Waters vibe to their songs.
Brooke DiCaro – performing from 9pm to 9:40pm at Lyrikplatz
If you’re looking for something a little tamer for your Thursday evening, DiCaro’s singer/songwriter and jazz-tinged singing promises to put on a great show.
Igor & the Red Elvises – performing from 9pm to 11pm at Volksplatz
A perennial favorite at Musikfest, these crazy Russians play a mix of rockabilly and surf punk to often hilarious lyrics and always have a huge crowd, dancing the night away.
