When we broke the news about Franklin Hill Vineyards exploring the option of opening a distillery last year, we also mentioned that they were working on making cider. Under Pennsylvania law, a winery license is required to make cider, meaning Franklin Hill didn’t have to obtain any extra licensing.
Well, the time is here. Franklin Hill rolled out their first bottles today, available at the winery itself, in Bangor, as well as their retail shops in Tannersville, Easton, and Bethlehem. The winery didn’t respond to comment on any additional plans for the distillery, but Franklin Hills staff have recently been touring distilleries throughout the region.
