Cosmopolitan and Wave Nightclub, a restaurant and nightclub situated on the site of the former Sal’s Spaghetti House in Allentown, has new ownership…kind of.
When the restaurant opened, it was under the helm of developer Myron Haydt and Bill Grube of Allentown, who founded the company Night Vision Depot, a night vision technology supplier. Now Haydt is out of the picture and Bill Grube, and his wife Phyllis are the sole owners of the establishment.
Opened in 2010, the five-story building cost approximately $6 million to build. Since then, the restaurant has been in a constant state of upgrades and revamps. In 2013 the restaurant shut down its rooftop bar, enclosed it, and turned it into Wave Nightclub. Just over six months after opening, in March of last year, the night club remodeled and added a new sound and lighting system. Then, in June, Cosmopolitan debuted a chef’s table in the kitchen of the restaurant, offering groups of six the opportunity to partake in a chef’s tasting right in the heart of the action.
A request for comment on the ownership change from Cosmopolitan has not yet been returned.
