Two Rivers releasing new beer at charity party today

Today Two Rivers Brewing Company in Easton is releasing a new brew, “Flowers’ Helping Hand IPA,” part of their ‘Great Beers for Great Causes’ series.  The beers is the third in the series, which serves to honor the achievements of Eastonians and donates a portion of the sales from the release party to a charity selected by the honoree, according to a press release.

The new IPA honors Stephen Flowers of Suddenly Samantha Salon in Easton, who, for the past five Christmases, has offered free haircuts for the homeless on Christmas Day.  Flowers has also worked on a documentary that highlights the plight of the homeless.  The brewery will donate a dollar for every beer sold this evening to Easton’s Safe Harbor initiative.
